Maya Bay อ่าวมาหยา *In Raul's Voice*

Maya Bay in Krabi Province, Thailand is the single most beautiful beach I have ever seen. This could explain why it is ranked one of the top ten beaches in the world, and was the paradise setting for the ecologically controversial 2000 20th Century Fox movie The Beach, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

 My favorite experience here was taking a traditional long tail boat to snorkel around in the shallow, warm waters of Maya Bay. We saw a coral reef and many colorful tropical fish, like angel, clown, and other rainbow fish I couldn't name. I regret never finishing my PADI certification a few years back: it would be a great place to dive!

{And a bit farther back to see the waters. They were clear aquamarine always.}

{I'm allowed one selfie: It's literally a screen saver of a place. Luke, please read this.}

The area also has a short circular path to walk around the jungle of Phi Phi Ley {where Maya Bay is situated} and a stunning lookout point to the other side of the bay. We later snorkeled here.
{Walking to the lookout. Even on the more remote island, the lines of tourists were long. The view was well worth it!}

Snorkeling and looking like a nerd all at the same time!
