To kick off the first night of Chuseok {Korean Thanksgiving: 추석}, the residence team headed to cozy Bagdad Cafe. The little pink building is a hybrid cafe-restaurant-bar, with the wonderful ragtag character of all three. We shared a taxi to nearby Jeju City Hall in Ido 2-dong.
The Indian/Nepali cuisine was a welcome change after having much traditional Korean both at BHA and all around Jeju City.I had a bit of buttered naan and chicken tika masala...And a mango lassi to cool down all the spice. {Yummy!} Delicious food. Bagdad fully earns the review in Lonely Planet: Korea.
Our head of house and unofficial "mum": Heidi with her birthday !surprise! festivities. All the more reason to celebrate.
The ambience at Bagdad was eclectic and cozy. Cobalt blue wine glasses and candles everywhere. {Very soft}. I felt invited. The staff spoke English and told the dons we had a beautiful energy. Much needed after a busy day..120 girls departing for Chuseok.
Spending time with friends, and sharing a good meal. Beautiful start to Chuseok.
