When it rains, it pours.

I've managed to give new meaning to the old expression, when it rains.. it pours. It's been a stressful few weeks looking ahead, but nothing tops discovering a badly flooded apartment. Rachel opened the door to find our entire living room covered in water. A balcony that shares a space with our apartment as a drainage area, was clearly very clogged up {a-hem to the smokers above us} and rushing into our apartment. The result was a small lake "ho-soo" {just in case you were wondering} in my living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and entryway. UGH!

{Level of the water at it's highest point on the boxes ^^.}

{Yucky black mold! Jeju Island is very humid to start with; and mold can be a frequent, recurring problem in apartments}.

{The two glass doors the water managed to leak through!!!}

{On the bright side: All of that rain must have brought some early spring flowers. I found some beautiful cherry blossoms blooming outside our residence. Springtime in Korea can be felt much earlier..and with a whole lot less mud than New England, so I'll take it!}
